DAY 6: CHIANG MAI - ALL IN ONE DAY TRIP (PRIVATE)
At 09:00, you will be picked up from your hotel and transferred to Wat Chedi Luang, the largest chedi in the city, which was built by King Saen Muang Ma around 1401. Originally standing at 90 meters, it now reaches only 40 meters due to an earthquake in 1545. A small structure near the main entrance houses the "Sao Intakin," the spirit of the city. Then you will visit Wat Prathat Doi Suthep, the most revered temple in Chiang Mai, located 15 kilometers from the city at an elevation of 3,500 feet. Here, you will witness the magnificent golden pagoda that houses the relics of the Lord Buddha. The journey to the temple takes you along a picturesque road leading to the Doi Pui National Park. Should you choose to ascend the 300 steps, you will be rewarded with a view of the splendid golden pagoda, which was established in 1383. Legend has it that an elephant, carrying the relics, chose the site for the temple when it paused to rest. From the temple grounds, you can enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view of Chiang Mai. This site is not only a significant religious location but also a popular pilgrimage destination for Thai Buddhists.
